Retinoids

From beginner to advanced, retinoids you can trust. Remember to introduce slowly!

KIEHL'S Retinol Fast Release Wrinkle-Reducing Night Serum
This one's 0.3% retinol but because you mix it fresh, it's strong! Not for beginners.
LA ROCHE-POSAY Retinol B3 Pure Retinol Serum
Intermediate level retinol that’s not spicy at all
ROC Retinol Correxion Line Smoothing Night Serum Capsules
These are beginner-friendly but deliver real results, and they’re already dosed for you!
AVÈNE Triacnéal Night Smoothing Lotion
The active in this is retinaldehyde! It’s potent but non-irritating. I’d call it beginner-intermediate but be sure to introduce slowly if it’s your first – a pea size once per week for a month before you move up to twice per week.
Beginner friendly and very effective!
Gentle enough to use nightly, this treats pigmentation and texture. So good!
True story: I had hectic stress breakouts while writing my book. I even developed perioral dermatitis which made it hard to use actives. This product helped get rid of the breakouts without exacerbating the sensitivity. It is exquisite.
Intermediate, and a great one-and-done PM skincare routine
Perfect for beginners with 0.01% retinol and barrier-supporting ceramides. You could even use this daily!
A beautiful, cushy gel-based retinaldehyde serum. It’s for beginner-intermediate use, and pairs perfectly with Holifrog’s Galilee Dewy Drop serum.
This one’s spicy! Don’t let the % deceive you - it’s for intermediate use, as are all the Skinceuticals retinoids.
This one exfoliates as it delivers Vitamin A. Not for nightly use – use 1-3x per week. For beginners all the way through to experienced users, but go easy on the other exfoliants in your routine.
