This is brilliant – a 100% mineral sunscreen which is really easy to tolerate even for sensitive skin but which also has an invisible finish. It only uses mineral sunscreen filters but they’re in super-fine nano particles so they don’t give that whitish cast that you often get with mineral sunscreens. It turns completely clear as it settles into the skin and gives broad-spectrum protection.
Albus & Flora is all about making everyday lip care beautiful. These are no mere lip balms – they’re more like cosmeceuticals for your lips. They come in a range of sheer tints and they all have SPF30. Lips are vulnerable to UV just like the rest of the face, and even those of us who wear sunscreen regularly don’t always put it on our lips, so this is an easy way to do it – they melt right into your lips and feel smooth and light to wear.
This has an SPF50 and is a mineral sunscreen but the minerals are very finely milled giving it a sheer finish, which is what I really like about this product. It has a flesh-coloured tint – a pale one – but by the time you’ve spread a good layer onto your face it feels like a make-up primer with a decent bit of colour-coverage, so I find it’s a good make-up alternative on my pale skin. If you are fair and have rosacea, it will help cover up flushing a bit, too, as well as giving you good, broad-spectrum protection from UV rays. Physical sunscreens are particularly good for sensitive or reactive skin.
