Oily Skin Guide (Skinstore Products 25% off with code CHARLOTTE)
Broken into steps, this is a choose your own adventure, I.e. 3-4 step process, by no means buy all of these products :)
Step 1: OPTIONAL IF YOU WEAR MAKEUP: GLOW RECIPE | Papaya Sorbet Enzyme Cleansing Balm NOT FOR ACNE PRONE BBS
SHOP NOWIf you wear makeup, use this before your foaming cleanser. This is a gentle exfoliant so if you use this + another exfoliating cleanser just skip treatments to start and see how your skin likes it for the first 4-8 weeks.
STEP 2 OPTION: PAULA'S CHOICE | Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant *USE CODE CHARLOTTE15 FOR DISCOUNT*
SHOP NOWA classic for the reason: it's simple and it's solid. It's a liquid so hard to spot treat with but you can use on T-zone (around forehead and nose) or areas that tend to be congested. THIS IS STRONG so while the instructions say use 2x a day... no. To start just a few times a week and rotate one product in at a time. I.e. Don't just throw this and a retinol into your routine all of a sudden... you may experience irritation (purging is a bit meh).
Step 2 OPTION: LA ROCHE-POSAY | Effaclar Clarifying Solution Facial Toner For Acne Prone Skin With Salicylic Acid And Glycolic Acid, 6.76 Fl. Oz.
SHOP NOWStep 2 OPTION: this is a mix of salicylic and glycolic acid, best to use for whole face/less spot treat but very effective for texture and tone as well.
Retinoid (use post cleansing/be careful pairing with Salicylic acid treatments, use either or to start) LA ROCHE-POSAY | La Roche-Posay Effaclar Adapalene Gel 0.1% Retinoid Acne Treatment 1.6 Oz
SHOP NOWBe careful pairing with salicylic acid treatments, should be OK with cleansers just be cautious. Start low and slow: 2-3x a week at night. Pea size amount for the whole face.
