Candles

Non Toxic, clean, plant based candles either made with 100% natural fragrance oils or Essential oils

Fake Tan

As the darker nights draw in, and we are getting less sun on our skin its natural to loose our sun kissed glow…but we don't have to! Having a little bit of colour all year round can help fight those winter blues and give us a healthier look all year round. So why not! Many high street fake tans still test on animals, and some non-vegan ingredients to watch for include carmine (a red dye made from crushed insects) and glycerin, which can sometimes be derived from animal sources. Plus, certain emulsifiers may also be animal-derived. I have selected the following products for you, all tried and tested giving beautiful results. All from ethical brands with beautiful natural, nourishing ingredients, not tested on animals and avoiding animal based ingredients. Don't forget to check the discount codes!

Perfume

It’s the most complicated topic I have covered so far on our Green Girl Guide, that is for sure. This is mainly down to the fact that perfume brands do not have to disclose what is in their ‘Parfum’ or ‘Fragrance’...of course other wise other brands will steal thier scents, I get it! However it does make it difficult to really trust that thier products are toxic free without having an ingredient list to work from. That being said, there are some wonderful brands which conjure up thier fragrance using only esential oils, and the ones that have used synethic ingredients (which is often more sustainable) have stated they are free from Phthalates.

Nail Polish

Nail brands and products making an effort to lower thier toxic ingredients. Only featuring cruelty free and vegan products.

Period Products

Most highstreet options are not only harmful to the environment but are also tested on animals and contain toxic chemicals. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want any toxic ingredients going anywhere near my fanny. Gross! We're here to change that. Non toxic Knickers

Knickers made from organic cotton, Bamboo, hemp and Tencel are known to have much less chemicals than synthetic knickers or cotton knickers which are not organic. Often sprayed with many harsh chemicals including pesticides and Insecticides. Here is my little guide to knickers, with less scary chemicals. Our fannies will thank us.
