Anna H Chacon, MD FAAD

Dr. Anna Chacon, a board-certified dermatologist, is deeply committed to aiding patients in treating their skin conditions from the comfort of their homes. A native of Miami, Florida, she has experienced living in diverse regions such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Providence, arctic Alaska, Cairo, Haifa, and Buenos Aires. Her aspiration to become a physician was influenced by her father, Dr. Chacon, a trailblazer in critical care in South Florida and the founder of the region's largest privately-owned intensive care unit. Watching her father tend to patients with immense compassion during crises and natural disasters solidified her desire to pursue a career in medicine. As an independent dermatologist and private practitioner, Dr. Chacon also collaborates with indigenous tribes like the Arctic Slope Native Association, Lake County tribal health consortium, and the Seminole Tribe of Florida, serving as their primary dermatology consultant. She holds the unique distinction of being the first and only dermatologist to cater to the Alaskan Bush, a region disconnected from road networks and with limited access to waterways or the state’s ferry system. Dr. Chacon travels on bush planes to treat patients in the most secluded and rural parts of the nation. Her practice spans across Florida, Alaska, and California, and she also offers teledermatology services. Dr. Chacon is the sole dermatologist with 53 medical licenses, encompassing all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. She has also established and heads a non-profit organization named Indigenous Dermatology, which focuses on the dermatological health of individuals living in rural, remote, and tribal areas.
