Senior Finance Manager
As the inaugural Senior Finance Manager at ShopMy, you will play a foundational role in establishing and leading the finance function within our rapidly growing influencer marketing platform. Your expertise will be crucial in managing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, analysis, reporting, and compliance. With a strategic mindset and a detail-oriented approach, you'll ensure financial health and provide insights that drive informed business decisions. Your role will be integral to shaping the financial strategy and infrastructure that supports ShopMy's ambitious growth plans.
Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Establish and maintain all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Strategic Planning: Assist in formulating the company's future financial direction and supporting tactical initiatives to guide ShopMy towards profitability and growth.
- Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements; analyze trends and make recommendations for improvements.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements; establish and maintain financial controls and procedures.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and prepare cash flow forecasts to ensure the company maintains a healthy liquidity position.
- Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency initiatives to maximize the company's financial resources.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial insights and risks to the leadership team, helping inform decision-making across the company.
- System Implementation: Lead the selection and implementation of financial systems and tools to improve financial operation efficiency as the company grows.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification is highly desirable.
- 5+ years of finance experience, preferably in a tech or startup environment, with a track record of increasing responsibility.
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
- Experience with financial reporting, compliance, and management of financial systems.
- Proven analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
- Self-starter with a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, changing environment.
